Sea Shanty
Look to the North,
Its harrowing gales
Hath not
Knocked dreaming
From our sails -
The icy blasts,
Tramontane,
Serve us to
Begin again.
Look to the South,
Siroccan dreamers,
Poets all, yea
Dreaming weavers,
Bask in balms
On a balmy breeze -
When work's completed,
Take thy ease.
Look to the West
Zephyrine lovers,
Look to the kestrel
As it hovers;
Pinned unto
Effulgent skies -
Contemplation
Maketh wise.
Look to the East
Where all beginnings
Genesis flower -
Cease your sinning.
Eurine shivers
Birth new beginnings -
Without despair,
Our souls are winning.
Sunrise sets
Upon thy face,
Frost disenfranchised;
Winter's haze.
Hestia smiles both
East and West -
Originality
Is best.
North and South
Diametric poles,
Light the tinders,
Rake the coals;
It's all within you -
Take the time
To build with Coleridge,
Perfect rhyme.
