A Poem - Fox (2024)
I take the night's air softly seeking,
Dreams held in my dreamer’s keeping.
Dreams of realms beyond this plane,
Dreams I dreamt of once again.
I bridge the gap between two worlds;
My liminality unfurls
The scrolls upon which poets writ
Tales on cunning, tales of wit.
I take the night's air all a-roaming
O’er tangled woodlands all a-gloaming,
I seek the scent of the brown hare,
I seek the spoor held in the air.
I bridge the gap twixt There and Here,
Divest yourself of mortal fears,
I'll lead you by my vixen's wiles
Unto the dreams the earth reviles.
I take the night's air softly seeking,
Dreams held in my dreamer’s keeping.
Dreams of realms beyond this plane,
Dreams I dreamt of once again.
